As of this week’s heavy rains, local stream conditions are quite variable. Many of the larger watersheds like the Root River system or the Whitewater River were completely blown out and will take several days to recover. I would not expect these rivers to be fishable this weekend.
The smaller streams are improving daily and in some cases have fully recovered. Streams like Trout Run, or Duschee Creek or Camp Creek will be fine by Saturday, if not before. Some Creeks like E. Beaver or Garvin Brook are gin clear and are fishing well already.
With no rain forecasted for the next several days, the Father’s Day fishing should be just fine on the smaller streams.
