It was a pretty dry week around the area leaving the streams in good condition for yet another week in the Driftless area. As of August 16th Mill Creek at the county road 2 bridge in Chatfield was at 65 centimeters of water visibility. This stream is fishable in all manners of trout fishing. As of August 16th Trout Run at Bucksnort park was at over a meter of water visibility. This stream is in great condition and is fishable in all forms of trout fishing. As of August 16th The South Branch of the Root River at the county road 17 bridge in Preston was at 80 centimeters of water Visibility. The water level of the Root River looks a little low but nothing unusual for this time of year. The Root River is running pretty clear and is fishable in all manners of trout fishing.
